Well, visiting Dr Botha & liaising with his team both pre and post eye surgery did my heart good. This was the standard of care us yesteryear nurses were trained to give to patients. Observing staff interaction in both consulting rooms and pre theatre took me back to the 70’s and 80’s, a time when clinical skills, standards and nurse/patiemt relationships were of the optimum. All of this was on show at this clinic. I must make special mention too of the pre theatre consent forms – never in my 45yrs of nursing have I seen such thorough documentation. It’s also been a long, long time since I’ve witnessed an anaesthetist not only talk with, but, listen to each and every patient. You have a wonderful team and all should be very proud of the work they do.

I traveled all the way from Canada for this procedure because of the unparalleled care provided by Dr. Vellema and his team—something I simply could not find in my home country or the Middle East. My experience was absolutely amazing, my nurse was the friendliest person and made me feel so calm and relaxed knowing that I was very nervous about my procedure. The doctors were so understanding and friendly in the theatre and made me feel heard and well looked after.
The facilities were super clean and well maintained and looked after, the theatre had a comforting and extremely clean and modern, I knew I was in good hands with a kind and dedicated team who were apart of my procedure.
I have very minimal pain and swelling after my procedure which means the work that was done was the very best and I am beyond grateful for the amazing team that helped me with the procedure. Thank you George Surgical Centre and Dr Viljoen.

Sr. Esme en ander sr het my die hele tyd rustig gemaak en ingelig oor wanneer ek teater toe gaan, Dr Coetzee my gerusgestel oor prosedure, en na operasie se besoek en oproep toe ek by huis was om te hoor of ek okay is en dat ek enige tyd hom kan kontak as ek vrae het of nie lekker voel nie… Dr Patel is die duurbaarste dr, ek het nie vir een oomblik getwyfel oor prosedure of bang gewees nie, die manier wat hy my hanteer het het my gerusgestel dat ek in goeie hande is. Al die ander vriendelike dames –  baie dankie. Dan Sr. Linda van Wyk sy het so mooi na my gekyk met my oorslaap, jy is n wenner… Sal beslis weer van die fasiliteit gebruik maak.. This was a very long awaited dream, I have had many other cheaper options , but Dr Patel really made the decision to make use of his service 200% worth it, his attention to detail, his expert opinion, his natural approach and work ethic is amazing. The staff is amazing and my recovery was so easy I felt I could go back to work 2 days after. He not only listened to my wants and needs but he had all the time in the world to deal with any concerns I had having had problems with my breasts before. I have never in my life experienced such care, friendliness and nursing in any hospital that I have had the “bad luck” to land in . Your hospital “team”, nurses and even the receptionist are to be congratulated please. The Doctors as well were quite frankly incredible!

Die diens van die verpleeg personeel was uitstekend, in die saal asook in die teater. Hulle hanteer jou met respek en maak die angs wat mens ervaar soveel beter. Die narkotiseer (Dr Theron) het alles voor die tyd mooi verduidelik en na die operasie ook kom seker maak dat alles okay is. Dr Patel, sy span en die hospitaal het die ervaring aangenaam gemaak.

Fantastiese diens, vriendelike en behulpsame personeel. Almal was baie deeglik en professioneel en laat mens eintlik baie belangrik voel. Sal nie maklik beter diens en personeel kry nie.
